September 29, 2026 — Dots launches
OpenAI introduced Dots and began a rollout across eligible Pro, Business Premium and Enterprise plans. Initial creation happens on desktop. The primary dot can coordinate work, use a cloud computer, and work with connected plugins.
Messaging at launch
ChatGPT, Slack and Teams are described in the launch materials. Set up the relevant contact method in the dot profile. The current messaging guide labels texting as coming soon; consult that guide for availability as it expands.
Usage terms to watch
The launch includes a month-long Dots usage promotion for eligible plans. The Help Center says later terms will be shared. The pricing guide records the distinction between Dot conversations and Work or Codex tasks.
